The Laboratory of Wireless Infrastructure and Network Security was established by Prof M. Chuah. The mission is to explore state-of-art techniques for designing emerging mobile data systems and future heterogeneous networks. We will be focusing on the architectural and protocol design for such networks. Examples of our work include designing secure content centric mobile networks, disruption tolerant networks, smartgrid control network, useful smartphone based applications e.g. in healthcare domain, , designing next generation wireless networks. In addition, our group also explore research issues in the area of network security (including both wired/wireless network). For example, we are working on mitigation techniques for botnet detection, DDoS attacks, and automated worm detection.
